“ I have wanted to come to host for ages, but sadly the clay cross location was never convenient for me. When I knew of this new location I was super happy as it is halfway between me and my mum. I didn’t know if we would be able to get in (as this is the first week of opening) but we did! It was bustling (for all the right reasons). The greeting we got when we arrived was a very warm welcome (maybe by the owner??) and the service was quick too. This initially was just a coffee/drink situation but after seeing the massive range of gluten free options and how lovely everyone’s food looked, it quickly turned into breakfast number 2. Normally when ordering gluten free alternatives, you are given some terrible breads and usually a lot smaller than the ‘normal one’. So when I had a slab of some gluten free sourdough bread, I was super grateful. Not only was the dish super delicious, it was nice to not feel like such a stand out for ordering gluten free. I can’t wait to tell my fellow gluten free pals about this place. ”

“ With a one-off visit to Chesterfield, I thought I would try somewhere new for some breakfast and a coffee. I walked past Host and the pleasant exterior caught my eye. The staff are welcoming and there is a nice atmosphere inside. Staff were attentive to tables too. Pictured is a bacon butty with an extra egg, and then a Mocha. Both were excellent. Plenty of coffee choices, including a café con leche, which you don't see on many menus, which is lovely. It did get busier as I was leaving and there was a struggle for tables, but I was impressed at how well the staff tried to accommodate everyone and help people find tables. ”
